The Monroe County Maintenance Department is seeking sealed bid proposals from a qualified contractor to perform roofing services for the farmhouse Monroe County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids submitted, in whole or part, and to waive any informalities or technicalities which at Monroe County's discretion are determined to be in the best interests of Monroe County. Question Deadline 02/25/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the RFP are to be submitted to Owner in writing.Questions received less than seven (7) Days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Award of the contract to the successful qualified bidder shall be based upon the bid determined most advantageous to the county after evaluating the specific criteria requested. Roof Replacement 1. Replace 3 sections of rubber roof of the farmhouse building. o Section 1: Approximately 25'x38' and 5'x 8' non-ballasted o Section 2: Approximately 6' x 13' non-ballasted o Section 3: Approximately 18' x 13' non-ballasted 2. Remove all existing roofing materials down to the decking material and dispose of at the Monroe County landfill. 3. Remove and dispose of all metal flashing and drip edge. 4. The existing gutters will remain. 5. Clean roof deck in prep of new installation. 6. Anchor down new roof insulation as needed to meet proper drainage needs (Insulation R-values must meet required code compliance). 7. Provide and install a new non-ballasted 60 mil minimum EPDM membrane over the new insulation. 8. Provide and install new EPDM flashings at all roof penetrations. 9. Fabricate and install new 24-gauge steel (or higher quality) drip edge and flashings as needed. 10. Fabricate and install new 24-gauge steel (or higher quality) drainage scuppers at existing locations. 11. Provide minimum of 15-year warranty on materials, 5 years on installation and labor The Property & Maintenance Committee shall make the final approval of selected vendor on March 11, 2026.
