Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montgomeryvle, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This work includes all Temporary Shoring, Bracing, and Support collectively known as Temporary Support of Excavation (TSOE) for the project. Furnishing and installing TSOE, shoring, trench boxes and/or sheeting and shoring excavation support systems is required as part of this project. Removal of TSOE materials is required unless noted otherwise on the Contract Drawings and upon written approval by the Township and Engineer. This work also includes but is not limited to 1. Selection of construction sequence; 2. Temporary bracing of the existing structures, or portions of the existing structures and roadways, as required to prevent the existing structures and roadways from becoming unsafe or unstable during construction; 3. Temporary support of excavations (TSOE); 4. Temporary works for proposed construction, as required; 5. Construction and removal of temporary posts, timbers, lagging, braces, sheet piling, etc., required in connection with bracing, shoring, and underpinning the existing and new structure during construction; 6. Excavation, temporary works, furnishing and placement of concrete and backfilling required in connection with underpinning foundations. Removal of existing pedestrian bridge and partial removal of abutments. Installation of new abutments and new prefabricated pedestrian bridge and tie-in of approach sidewalk.
