The work consists of constructing a new sanitary lift station, referred to as the "Murphy Lift Station Replacement." The scope includes installing a new lift station, valve vault, pumps, controls, and a generator (provided by the owner). The contractor or subcontractor will provide all other materials and complete electrical tie-ins, gas tie-ins, fencing, and force main tie-ins to city infrastructure. The contractor is responsible for all dewatering and permits. Any additional hardware not listed, but necessary, should be supplied by the contractor. All work must comply with the plans, specifications, project special provisions, and the 2022 City of Alamosa Standard Construction Specifications, as amended. Bidders must submit sealed bids, clearly labeled, with a certified check or bidder's bond equal to at least five percent of the total bid. Only bids received before the deadline will be considered. The successful bidder must begin work no earlier than June 1, 2026, and complete it before September 1, 2026. Major material suppliers and subcontractors must be identified on request. All work is to be guaranteed for one year after final acceptance. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days after bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed in its best interest. Questions must be submitted in writing by the specified date.
