**As of March 18, 2026, the project was awarded to Holliday Construction, with an awarded amount of $953,518.38.** The work consists of construction of a gravel parking lot, earthen kayak launch, gravel path, and elevated boardwalk with a nature observatory platform. Bids must be submitted on standard forms provided in the contract documents. Each bid must include a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company licensed in Mississippi, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the owner as bid security. Bidders may be required to submit a current financial statement. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Required documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked as: Montjoy Creek Nature Trail RFP# 2026-002 and the Certificate of Responsibility Number. Bids may be deposited in person at the specified address or submitted online under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be accepted. An acknowledged copy of all Addenda issued by the Engineer must be included with the bid. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after opening without the Owner's consent. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities. Work must comply with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations and Codes.
