RFQ Questions are due by January 26, 2026 The City of East Lansing is seeking a contractor to procure and install lighting above a mural at the entrance to M.A.C. Parking Garage in East Lansing. Please see Attachment A for photos of the project area and Attachment B for information on the requested lighting fixture model. The contractor will procure and install two (2) lighting fixtures to illuminate the mural located at the auto entrance to the MAC Garage in East Lansing, MI (310 M.A.C. Ave). See Appendix A for photo of the project area. Contractor will: 1. Procure two "RISE F080 Quad" lighting fixtures (or their approved equal). Install one lighting fixture at the bottom right corner of the mural and another at the bottom left corner to ensure even illumination. Lighting fixtures must be installed in accordance with Article 600 of the National Electrical Code and any other applicable local codes. This includes making sure there's a proper disconnect or a breaker lock in place for safety and code compliance. Tap into the existing power running through the conduit located directly below the mural to feed both fixtures. Refer to Appendix A for a photo showing the conduit location. Hardwire lighting fixtures to allow for operation by a timer, with the option to override and keep them on continuously when needed. The timer setup should be installed in an easily accessible location no higher than 6 ft off the ground near the entrance to the garage on either the north or south wall. Timer should be enclosed in a secure lockbox that prevents tampering or vandalism. Obtain and pay for all necessary permits and inspections, including arranging for garage entrance closures. The deadline for all questions and walk-through meetings is January 26, 2026.
