Bids are invited for the Downtown Rehabilitation Improvements Project for the City of Rio Grande City under TXCDBG Contract Number CDM24-0074. The scope of work includes: Concrete Walkway (Dyed), ADA Ramps, Railing for ADA Ramps, Electrical Pull Box, Hydraulic Lift Improvements, Pedestrian Lighting and Electrical Improvements, Alternate Parking Space Striping Repainting, Alternate Accessible Parking Sign, Alternate Pedestrian Walkway Striping 4" & 24", Alternate Pedestrian Lighting, and Alternate ADA Ramps. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, can be obtained by depositing $100.00 with SAMES Inc. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety is required for contracts exceeding $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Rio Grande City or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Questions Clarifications submission deadline is on Friday, March 06, 2026 at 12:00 Noon with a response deadline by Monday, March 09, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
