Renovation of an industrial development in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a industrial development.
The project consists of replacing the roof as indicated for the Roof Replacement at the Mt. Pleasant Glass Centre. 1. Project Location: Mt. Pleasant Glass Center, 402 East Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania 15666. The work involves the roof replacement at Mt. Pleasant Glass Center for the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting. Interested bidders must obtain the bid documents directly from the designated consulting engineers and register to be eligible to submit a bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 110% of the contract price, along with a certificate of insurance prior to contract award. Bidders must comply with all applicable state statutes and regulations, including but not limited to, the Building Energy Conservation Act, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Steel Products Procurement Act, Trade Practices Act, Public Works Contractor's Bond Act of 1967, Flood Plain Management Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Contractors must adhere to nondiscrimination and sexual harassment provisions and ensure no contractor or subcontractor is under suspension or debarment. Contractors must actively recruit minority and women subcontractors, furnish progress and status reports, and maintain all records for seven years from contract completion. Work is subject to the PA Prevailing Wage Act, and the Directory of Minority, Women, and Section 3 Business Enterprises should be used to solicit proposals from potential subcontractors. **IMPORTANT: Electronic Contract Documents are for viewing ONLY. A. Base Bid 1 - Alternate 1 - Removal of Existing EPDM Roof 1. Remove Existing EPDM Roof Membrane 2. Work shall include the following: a. Removal of existing EPDM Roof Membrane b. Clean, and inspect, underlying roof substrate c. Proper offsite disposal of existing EPDM Membrane Roof B. Base Bid 1 - Alternate 2 - Removal of Existing Curbs 1. Removal of Existing Curbs 2. Work shall include the following: a. Remove existing two abandoned equipment curbs at northeast corner of Roof #1 and exhaust fan as shown on the Construction Drawings. b. Provide new Structure to Infill opening as required to support anticipated starting date of work will not be before May 13, 2026. The Contractor shall fully and finally complete all work by November 1, 2026
