The general scope includes approximately 7,000 tons of asphalt overlay, approximately 8,500 SY of full depth PCC patches, approximately 600 SY of partial depth HMA patches, and related items such as removals, restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and survey. The contractor is required to fully complete the project by September 25, 2026. Instructions to bidders include: sealed bids must be filed before the specified deadline; each bid must be accompanied by bid security amounting to 10% of the total bid amount; the successful bidder must furnish a corporate surety bond for faithful performance equal to 100% of the contract amount; contractors and subcontractors should not include sales tax for material purchases and will be issued a certificate of exemption; the successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond; and payments will be made monthly based on work completed, with 3% retained until conditions are met. Bidders should note statutory preferences for Iowa-grown products and reciprocity requirements for resident bidders. Bid documents are available at no cost.
