As of March 16, 2026 the project was awarded to Allen Steele Co., with an awarded amount of $1,314,992.46. The work includes relaying 1,425 feet of clay sanitary sewer with 1,425 feet of 8-inch PVC sewer, relaying 2,300 feet of watermain with 2,300 feet of 8-inch ductile iron watermain (with an alternate bid for PVC), and constructing 600 feet of RCP storm sewer including installation of curb inlets. Project limits include Lincoln Street between Tomlinson and North Streets; Cleveland Street between Tomlinson and North Streets; and Grant Street between Sanderson Street and USH 51. These streets include new curb and gutter, gravel, asphalt, replacement of the sewer and water laterals, erosion control, traffic control, and yard restoration. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner.
