The City of Greer is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for a roofing replacement at the City of Greer Detention Center. The scope includes: removal and disposal of existing roof systems down to concrete decking, removal of one section of mechanical screen, cleaning and inspection of the deck (assuming 10 percent deck repair in base bid), installation of new 3.5" Polyiso insulation (R-20), installation of tapered insulation around drains, new retro-fit roof drains at existing drain locations, extension of vent pipes above finished roof deck, installation of new Carlisle white 80 mil TPO roof membrane fully adhered per manufacturer specifications, installation of membrane and required fascia systems for parapet walls, new TPO flashings at pipes and curbs, and installation of grey TPO walkway at HVAC and roof access locations. Additional requirements include maintaining facility operations 24/7 without disruption, protecting property, obtaining required permits and licenses, proper debris removal, and inclusion of material and workmanship warranties. All unit and lump sum pricing must be inclusive of all taxes, labor, materials, and related costs. Project will go to Council for approval on March 24, 2026. Only those attending the pre-bid meeting will be considered. All changes require written approval. Equipment staging area will be identified at the pre-bid meeting. Temporary construction signage must be approved by the City.
