Grass/weeds mowing and trimming for private properties to ensure ordinance compliance. A work order will be emailed to the contractor, showing the date notice was sent to the property owner and date of re-inspection. Mowing must be completed within two working days of receiving the work order. The work order must be emailed back to the Community Development Department Director within two days after completion for payment processing. Properties must be cut to a length of 4 inches. For payment, contractors must provide before and after photographs of every property serviced. Before photos must clearly show the house and house number (if a structure exists) and the grass condition prior to mowing. After photos must show the house and house number (if a structure exists) and that the work is complete. Photos of empty lots must show the full lot. All photos must be date- and time-stamped, attached to the email submitting the work, and accompany the completed work order sheet. Incomplete work orders or missing photo documentation will not be accepted for payment. Payment rates are as follows: $50.00 for a residential vacant city lot, $75.00 for a residential lot with a structure, and $125.00 for parcels larger than ¾ of an acre. To be eligible, contractors must submit applications through the City's ION Wave portal, including a certificate of liability insurance listing the City as additional insured and proof of workers compensation insurance. Applications without proof of required insurance will not be considered. The City reserves the right to reject any applications for legal reasons, including delinquency in tax or bill payments, unresolved code violations, or a history of not fulfilling previous city contracts.
