Site work and paving for a road / highway in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project involves routing (sawing), blowing clean, and sealing specified asphalt streets with hot pour crack fill per Iowa SUDAS standard specifications. Two types of work are required: (1) routing, blowing clean, and sealing certain streets, and (2) cleaning (blowing clean) and sealing other designated streets. Traffic control and pollution control are incidental to the project. The contract will be awarded on a single lump sum basis for all work included. The low bidder must return the signed contract and performance bond and sign a statement to comply with the City's Safety Manual. There are thirty (30) working days for the final completion of all contracted items. Liquidated damages apply as per Special Conditions. The Engineer's estimate of probable cost is $85,000. Bids will be considered by the City of Clinton City Council at its meeting in Council Chambers in City Hall, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton, Iowa on the 28th day of April 2026. The City Council may award a Contract at said meeting, or at such other time and place as shall then be announced. Question Deadline 04/10/2026 at 12:00 PM CT
