Project E-2026, Street Rehabilitation, 16th Ave No. to 22nd Ave No. is a residential road rehabilitation project covering 20 blocks of low volume, low speed roadways in the northwest portion of Clinton. The scope includes patching the existing concrete roadways, with 1800 SY of full depth concrete patching. For sections where failed concrete is significant, removal and reconstruction are required, involving 2088 SY of removal, sub-base, and new 7" PCC. Pedestrian ramps adjacent to the improved roadway along 16th Ave No. & No. 7th St and 18th Ave No. & No. 5th Street will be reconstructed, requiring 100 SY of sidewalk removal and replacement, new sub-base, nearly 200 LF of new curb, and approximately 100 SF of detectable warning panels. Sewer infrastructure updates include lining four sanitary manholes (26.5 vertical feet), minor adjustments to 27 manholes and 38 intakes, and major adjustments to four sanitary manholes. After base patching, 4200 SY of milling adjacent to notch joints and 4500 tons of 3" HMA will be performed. Additional items include provisions for potential bad sub-soils (granular stabilization 500 ton, fabric 1000 SY, tri-axial geo-grid 1000 SY), along with mobilization, concrete washout, and traffic control. The low bidder must sign a statement to comply with the City of Clinton's Safety Manual.
