Renovation of an educational facility in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,300-square-foot educational facility.
The project consists of the removal and disposal of approximately 2,300 square feet of asbestos-containing floor tile and associated asbestos-containing floor tile mastic and a total of 185 sections of asbestos-containing fitting insulation throughout the High School. This project will be completed in 3 phases: Phase 1 includes the removal and disposal of 55 sections of asbestos-containing fitting insulation in the First Floor B Hallway of the High School. Question Deadline 02/11/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. This is a two (2) Year Contract for the removal and disposal of approximately 2,300 square feet of asbestos-containing floor tile and asbestos containing floor tile mastic (mostly located under carpet) in the High School Main Office and Adjacent rooms and approximately 185 sections of fitting insulation in designated areas in the High School: 1A: Phase 1 (April 2, 2026 through April 6, 2026) Removal and disposal of approximately 55 sections of fitting insulation from the First Floor B-Hallway. NOTE: Contractor will be responsible to remove the drop ceiling tiles to access the sections of fittings and replace the ceiling tiles when finished. Care should be taken to not damage the ceiling tiles. 1B: Phase 2 (June 8, 2026 to June 19, 2026) Removal and disposal of approximately 130 sections of fitting insulation from the First Floor B-Hallway (2 nd Half), Boiler Room, Boiler Room Hallway and Mechanical Room. NOTE: Contractor will be responsible to remove the drop ceiling tiles to access the sections of fittings and replace the ceiling tiles when finished. Care should be taken to not damage the ceiling tiles. 1C: Phase 3 (June 14, 2027** to June 20, 2027) Removal and disposal of approximately 2,300 feet of asbestos-containing floor tile and asbestos containing floor tile mastic, mostly located under carpet, in the High School Main Office and Adjacent Rooms. Contractor is responsible for disposal of carpet.
