Sealed Bids are requested for improvements to the Engelhard Wastewater Treatment Facility and step sewage collection system consisting primarily of: o Closure of existing lagoon. o Replacement of irrigation pumps and controls. o Rehabilitation of dewatering pump basin and pumps. o Replacement of submersible aerator. o Addition of composite sampler. o Construction of a sampler/chlorinator/storage building. o Replacement of air release valves and check valves throughout the collection system, o Repairs to irrigation spray heads, and o Related construction. A Performance and a Payment Bond will be required for the successful bidder in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the work under this contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of a bid and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bidding procedure. Small, under-utilized, minority, or women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit Bids. All bidders are required to make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and comply with GS 143-128 and the MBE/WBE goals established by Engelhard Sanitary District.
