The City of Lorain, Ohio requests qualification statements from interested professional engineering, architectural, and surveying firms to provide professional design, construction administration, or field survey services. Firms are to be pre-qualified in areas including: storm water improvements, sanitary sewer improvements, waterline improvements, street infrastructure improvements, traffic engineering, brownfield, environmental, architectural improvements, wastewater/water treatment plant improvements, construction administration and inspection, field survey services, geotechnical and soils investigation, geographic information services (GIS), and other related areas. Qualification statements must include: a cover letter indicating the requested prequalification area(s), a brief history of the firm including major areas of expertise, resumes for key personnel, a list of clients and representative projects from the past five years for each area sought, a list of public authorities that have pre-qualified the firm (including ODOT areas), a description of the firm's approach to workload management, project scheduling and deadline adherence, a list of qualified personnel, equipment, and facilities, and any further information helpful to determine qualifications. Qualification statements must be both in hard copy and electronic format (PDF on USB drive), must not exceed 75 pages, and must include all requested information to be considered responsive. The City of Lorain reserves the right to request additional information or updates for ongoing prequalification status.
