Renovation of a multi-residential development in Storrs Mansfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Question Deadline 02/11/2026 at 2:00 PM ET All Requests for Information ("RFI") questions are to be posted under the Q&A Board Tab in the HuskyBuy sourcing event for this Solicitation. No phone calls or RFI questions emailed directly to the Procurement Agent will be accepted. Removal and replacement of existing mechanical equipment as shown on contract documents. This includes removal and replacement of mechanical controls, any plumbing associated with the removal and replacement of mechanical equipment, and any electrical associated with the removal and replacement of mechanical equipment as shown on contract documents. All removed materials must be disposed of offsite. Instructions to bidders include: - Submit a Cost Proposal using the provided form only. No substitutions permitted. - Provide company financial documents within 5 business days upon notification, demonstrating the ability to complete a construction project with a minimum value of at least $600,000. - Describe overall qualifications and provide three examples of relevant, recent HVAC projects. - Describe qualifications and responsibilities of key personnel, including resumes for Project Superintendent and Project Manager. - Include required documents: SEEC Form 10, Bidder Contract Compliance Monitoring Report, and Supplier Diversity Certificate (if applicable). - Bid security is required for amounts over $50,000.00, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or letter of credit. Bonding capacity letter is also required. - Contractor must self-perform at least ten percent (10%) of the Total Contract Price. - At least thirty percent (30%) of the contract price must be awarded to certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), and at least ten percent (10%) to Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) (which can overlap with the SBE goal). Good faith efforts to achieve these goals are required. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Architectural: 1. Provision and installation of gypsum board shaft walls as detailed in Drawings to enclose new HVAC ductwork. 2. Removal and installation of new gypsum board ceilings to accommodate new ductwork. 3. Offsite disposal of all removed materials. Electrical: 1. Electrical modifications to existing distribution to accommodate the HVAC upgrades. Mechanical Work: 1. Remove existing condensing units and associated air handlers. 2. Remove existing refrigerant piping. 3. Remove existing HVAC controls. 4. Remove existing supply air outlets. 5. Provide new condensing units and associated air handlers. 6. Provide new refrigerant piping. 7. Provide new HVAC controls with connection to the Campus network. 8. Provide new supply outlet with built in modulating damper and an access panel in ceiling. 9. Provide return in space and associated return ductwork in space and in hallways back to the unit. 10. New thermostats in the rooms. 11. Connect outside air to the return ductwork of each individual air handler.
