The proposed work includes earthwork, stormsewer, aggregate base course, concrete approach, asphalt paving, automatic security gate, site lighting, seeding & mulching, erosion control, temporary security fencing, and traffic control. Each bid equal to or in excess of $100,000.00 must be accompanied by either a certified check, cashier's check or draft equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price, or a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid price executed by the Bidder and a surety company authorized in South Dakota, payable to the Sioux Falls Regional Airport Authority. If the bid is accepted and the contract is awarded, the Bidder must, within ten (10) business days after Notice of Award, execute the contract and provide a contractor's bond as required. The successful Bidder must furnish a Contract Performance Bond, a Payment Bond equal to the full contract amount, and proof of Contractor's Excise Tax License. The Sioux Falls Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty (30) days, reject any and all bids, waive defects, or reject the bid of any party previously delinquent or unfaithful in contract performance. There is a requirement for compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Airport and Airway Improvement Act of 1982, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, U.S. Department of Transportation and FAA Assurances, and other relevant statutes and regulations.
