Site work and new construction of a communication facility in Texas City, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a communication facility.
The project involves construction of a new traffic signal system at the intersections of 6th Street North and 9th Avenue North and 9th Street North and 25th Avenue North, including all labor, equipment, material, and incidentals required for the project. Bids must be sealed, marked with the designated project number, and delivered to the specified Purchasing Manager at the City of Texas City Public Works & Engineering Purchasing Office. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid in the form of a Bid Bond. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the site and informing themselves regarding all local conditions under which the work is to be done. Bid documents can be obtained from the specified website, requiring registration to view or download specifications, plans, and related documents. The Contractor and all Subcontractors are required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates for the area as required in the contract documents. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of 100% of the total contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and accept any bid deemed advantageous to the owner.
