Competitive sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Coffee County 911 Center/Emergency Operations Center. Requests for project plans, specifications, and related documents should be directed to the Project's architect, Suttles & Associates. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of not less than 5% of the base bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids, any bid that is non-responsive or not responsible, and to waive technicalities and informalities. Bids may be mailed or hand delivered and must be received prior to the designated time. All bids must be submitted in an opaque, sealed envelope marked with the name and address of the Bidder and the project caption. The Owner will award the project based on the base bid amount only, not considering selected alternates for purposes of the award. Pre-qualification requirements: 1. Notarized Contractors Qualifications Statement, AIA Form A 305 2. Letter from the prospective bidder's financial institution guaranteeing an open credit line of $500,000.00 3. Sample of Bid, Performance and Payment Bond and Power of Attorney, executed by an Officer of the Bonding Company or a duly authorized Attorney-In-Fact with proper power of attorney attached 4. The prospective bidder's business location must be within a 100-mile radius from the project site. Contractors pre-qualified on previous Coffee County Board of Commissioners projects within the last 30 months are considered pre-qualified.
