Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project involves the removal and replacement of concrete pavement in Parking Lot 2 and the ground level parking around the East Campus Parking Deck at Iowa State University. The work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing PCC and HMA pavement, storm sewer, parking lot lighting, PCC pavement, PCC sidewalks, pavement markings, finish grading, and traffic control. Repairs to the East Campus Parking Deck structure, including concrete patching of the lower entrance into the parking deck and Parking Lot 2, are also included. Storm sewer structures and lighting will be evaluated and addressed as needed. Each bid shall be submitted using the electronic bidding documents provided and must include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Successful bidders must furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 calendar days after opening. Participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses is 10% as specified in Project Requirements. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner. Summary of Work: 1. The project consists of removing and replacing pavement in Parking Lot 2 and the ground level around the East Campus Parking Deck. This includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing PCC and HMA pavement, storm sewer, parking lot lighting, PCC pavement, PCC sidewalks, pavement markings, and finish grading/topsoil. 2. Contractor shall provide all incidental materials and equipment to install to specifications the system shown in the construction documents. 3. Contractor shall provide tree protection and construction fence as identified. 4. Contractor shall be responsible for all pedestrian and vehicular traffic control signage and shall coordinate any required closures. Question Deadline 02/17/2026 Each bidder shall examine the contract documents carefully and, not later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date set for receipt of bids, shall make written request to the Design Professional for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which may be discovered. Any questions relating to the technical specifications may be directed to the Design Professional.
