Renovation of a military facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The scope of work involves providing qualified services, labor, equipment, and parts to replace the motor on Chiller #8 at the USDA National Centers for Animal Health (NCAH) in Ames, Iowa. The contractor shall supply a York OEM replacement motor and retrofit kit, receive delivery of the motor using a crane, offload it from the truck, and install it on the chiller. The motor must be coupled to the compressor with proper alignment verified. After installation, the contractor will perform a start-up on the chiller and confirm proper operation. All work must comply with EPA regulations regarding refrigerants. Location: USDA National Centers for Animal Health, 1920 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA 50010. Questions Questions shall be submitted via email to lynn.hults@usda.gov and are due no later than February 06, 2026, at 12:00 PM Central Time.
