Renovation of a library in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
This project will improve the temperature and humidity in the film vault to maintain 60F and 45-50% relative humidity. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, removing gypsum board from the north wall, installing batt insulation, and replacing gypsum board, as well as the installation of a new dehumidifier for room 0005, installation of electrical, chilled water piping, and HVAC as required for the new dehumidifier. Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Each bid shall be submitted using the electronic bidding documents provided at www.bidexpress.com and shall include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. Bidding Documents may be obtained from Iowa State Printing Services, Iowa State University. All bidders must return the complete set of Bidding Documents to the above address within fifteen (15) days after opening of bids. This project consists of, but not limited to, installation of dehumidifier and insulation of an existing wall Question Deadline 02/03/2026 Any and all interpretations, corrections, revisions, and amendments will be issued to all holders of bidding documents in the form of written addenda. Such addenda will be issued so as to be received at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the time set for the receipt of bids Any questions relating to the technical specifications may be directed to the Design Professional.
