The scope of work involves the installation of two Level 3 Electric Vehicle (DCFC) charging stations and the related buried electrical lines and equipment. All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. 2.1 The City is requesting proposals from a qualified company (CONTRACTOR) to install two Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations and related buried electrical lines and equipment at the site listed above. This includes, but not limited to, all work related to supplying power to the EV charger stations as defined in below and the attached drawings. 2.2 CONTRACTOR shall perform the following activities: o Provide and install conduits between power source and EV charging station (2 locations) o Provide and install an in-ground pull box (2 locations - to be approved by City staff during installation) o Provide and install elevated concrete foundation 3" off ground for EV charging station (2 locations) Provide and install circuit breakers o Install two Level 2 EV charging stations o Provide and install wires between power source and EV charging station (2 locations) o Make all wiring connections and terminations (unless noted on the drawings) o Provide and install protective bollards on concrete foundation (where noted on drawings) o Remove paving (as required) o Restore site (paving and ground cover) to original condition 2.3 CONTRACTOR to supply all labor, tools, equipment and materials, unless otherwise noted. 2.4 CONTRACTOR shall activate and test the EV charging stations per manufacturer's recommended procedures.
