Site work for a water / sewer project in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is: rehabilitation of 8,582 LF sanitary sewer 36" in diameter by CIPP Lining, manhole installations, manhole abandonments, and manhole rehabilitations at various locations along E Lincoln Way near the South Skunk River and between E Lincoln Way and the Hunziker Youth Sports Complex within the City of Ames. Work includes CIPP lining, manhole repairs and adjustments, surface restoration, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form provided by the City of Ames in a sealed and plainly marked envelope. Each bidder must include bid security as defined by Iowa Code Section 26.8. The successful bidder must furnish a corporate surety bond equal to 100% of the contract price. Work must commence soon after contract award and be completed by the designated contract completion date. The City reserves rights regarding bid acceptance, rejection, and deferral. Tax exemption provisions for building materials apply, and all applicable state and federal nondiscrimination and preference requirements are enforced.
