Description

Site work for a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; and communication facility.

This project work includes demolition and reconstruction of the steam tunnel and steam and condensate piping, anchors, and pipe expansion joints, starting west of Beardshear Hall to approximately 200 feet north. Additionally, it includes installation of multiple sets of new underground high voltage conduits and two electrical utility vaults west of Beardshear Hall. Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Each bid must be submitted electronically using the provided bidding documents and must include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided. Bidding documents must be returned within fifteen days after the opening of bids.
