The general nature of the work is the rehabilitation of 7,953 linear feet of sanitary sewer ranging from 8 inches to 21 inches in diameter by CIPP lining, sanitary sewer point repairs, and manhole rehabilitations at various locations within the sanitary sewer subshed 'Basin' 11, from North of E 13th St to SE 5th St between the Skunk River and I-35 within the City of Ames. Work includes CIPP lining, grouting, excavation point repairs for sanitary pipe replacement, manhole repairs and adjustments, surface restoration, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Bidders must submit their bids on the Proposal Form furnished by the City, in a sealed and plainly marked envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security as defined in Code of Iowa Section 26.8 and as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Successful bidders are required to furnish a corporate surety bond in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Work must commence as soon as possible after award and approval of the contract and performance bond, and must be completed no later than April 30, 2027. The contractor shall not include sales or use taxes in the bid.
