Project L-7626 consists of countywide pavement marking re-striping, including 4" center lines, 4" and 6" edge lines, and stop bar pavement markings. The work requires placement of painted pavement markings (waterborne or solvent-based) and painted symbols and legends (waterborne or solvent-based), with estimated quantities provided. All required traffic control, mobilization, and roadway cleaning ahead of pavement marking placement must be included in the bid unit costs. The County Engineer may add or remove pavement markings after award, and the quantities placed will be paid at the contract unit price. Upon completion, the contractor must provide a breakdown tabulation of the quantities and lengths of paint placed by roadway segment. Bidders must be on the current qualified bidders list and meet minimum insurance requirements, including commercial general liability, umbrella, automobile liability, and workers compensation insurance. Electronic bids are accepted via Bid Express®, and plans/specifications are available through this service. A bid bond or appropriate check is required with proposals. Failure to execute a contract and file acceptable bond and insurance within 30 days may result in denial of award and forfeiture of the proposal guaranty. The contract completion date is June 26, 2026, and liquidated damages are set at $1,000.00 per day for late completion. Local preference may be applied as outlined by county policy.
