Bids are being solicited for the Tulare Union High School Auditorium Improvements Project at 755 E. Tulare Ave., Tulare, CA 93274. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents, including drawings and specifications available from the Architect. The Owner reserves the right to add or deduct items after determining the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The lowest bid is determined based on the base bid only. Prequalification per Public Contract Code section 20111.6 is required. Contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 for all projects over $25,000. The registration number for each qualifying subcontractor must be provided. The completion deadline is October 30, 2026. Bids must be sealed and submitted to Tulare Joint Union High School District at 426 N. Blackstone, Tulare, CA 93274, before 11:30 a.m. on February 24, 2026. Bids received after this deadline will not be accepted. Bids must include a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder must provide Payment and Performance Bonds each for 100% of the contract sum. Securities or escrow may be substituted for retainage per Public Contract Code Section 22300. Only contractors licensed in California with a Class "B" license at the time of award are eligible, and license status must be maintained through project completion and all warranty periods.
