Sealed proposals are requested for the Re-Bid of the East Stair Replacement Project at the Lake County Government Center. Prime bids will be received for General Construction. All bids must be sealed and submitted on the Bid Proposal Form in the Project Manual and must use Indiana State Form No. 96. A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and surety company or a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Board of Commissioners of Lake County Government, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their maximum bid, is required. Bidders without a principal place of business in Indiana must file a certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or money order payable to the Treasurer of Lake County, Indiana. Bidders must submit their Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number. For contracts over $200,000, the successful Bidder must execute a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract, and a two-year Maintenance Bond for twenty percent (20%) of the contract amount before final payment. Bonds must remain in force for at least 12 months after final completion. The successful bidder must comply with Lake County's Responsible Bidder Ordinance. The Lake County Government Center reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or return unopened any late proposal. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the opening of bids.
