Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Decatur, Georgia. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Perform selective demolition and removal of faulted electrical bus duct and install replacement-in-kind electrical bus duct components, including approximately 250 linear feet of bus duct located in a confined, unimproved crawlspace beneath the main hospital building. Work includes containment and safety controls for operations in asbestos-labeled spaces, along with required testing, commissioning, and site restoration. The surrounding area contains asbestos-labeled materials; however, no asbestos abatement is anticipated. Demolition is limited strictly to damaged electrical system components, with no architectural, structural, excavation, or soil-disturbance work unless specifically authorized in writing by the Contracting Officer. Location: Atlanta VA Medical Center, 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033.
