Sealed bids will be received for Roof Replacement at the Treatment Unit (TU) Building, Louisiana State Penitentiary - Angola. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, in the form stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders in the Bid Documents. Bids will only be accepted from contractors licensed for Building Construction or Roofing and Sheet Metal, Siding. Contractors must comply with all provisions and requirements stated in the bidding documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Award of the contract is contingent upon the availability of state, federal, or other funds as specified. Participation in the Small Entrepreneurship (SE) Program and the Veteran-Owned and Service-Connected Disabled Veteran-Owned (LaVet) Small Entrepreneurships Program is encouraged. Replace roof at all locations including all accessories, roof drain strainers, edge metal, copings, counterflashing, etc. Roof system to include 1/8" minimum per foot tapered polyisocyanurate insulation, 1/2 " coverboards, and 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system. C. Install new roof drain scupper collection boxes at select locations as described in the documents
