A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project is the construction of a new 27,375sf building and related site work with a project delivery of M.G.L. c149. Scope includes but not necessarily limited to Materials & Inspectional Services for: Soils, Concrete, Steel, Wood, Building Envelope, Windows, Drainage Bituminous Concrete etc. The project is scheduled to commence in March 2026 with the inspection services needed to begin within the first 30 days. The project is expected to be Substantially Complete in July 2027. Supplemental materials may be submitted to allow the owner to make an informed decision as to the qualifications of the proposer. The Town of Reading reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to award or not to award the contract for any reason the Town Manager determines to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest. Nothing in this RFP shall require that the Town take the lowest price proposal. Instead, the Town reserves the right to base its decision on the entirety of the information provided, the evaluation of criteria requested, and its sole judgment as to the best service to be provided.
