Sealed bids are solicited for an On-Call Roads and Trails Maintenance contract for 2026 – 2028. The contract involves furnishing labor and equipment to support the replacement of watershed culverts and general maintenance of a portion of the watershed road and trails system, which includes 100 miles of fire roads and 60 miles of hiking trails. The work is located near the intersection of Bolinas-Fairfax Road and Sky Oaks Rd, in the Mt Tamalpais Watershed within Marin County, California. All bidders must possess a valid California contractor's license (A-General Engineering Contractor, C-61-Limited Specialty, or C-12 Earthwork and Paving Contractor) at the time of the contract award. Proposals must be for the complete job, using forms supplied with the specifications. Each bid must include a certified check, cash, cashier's check, or bid bond for 10% of the total bid amount as a guarantee. The contract is subject to prevailing wage laws and compliance monitoring by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders must ensure all bid documents are completed, and proposals submitted in a sealed envelope with the appropriate labeling. Bidders are instructed to review and ensure insurance compliance before bidding, and all bid documents must be purchased from the specified provider to be considered responsive. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities.
