In order to be eligible, bidders must be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in disciplines C008 (General Construction) or C009 (General Construction/Alterations and Additions). If not classified in C030 (Plumbing), C032 (HVACR), and/or C047 (Electrical), subcontractors with those classifications must be retained and named in the bid, and all required documents for those subcontractors must be provided as specified. Bids must be submitted on provided proposal forms and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, up to a maximum of $20,000. Bids must comply with statutory requirements including inclusion of a Consent of Surety for performance and payment bonds, adherence to specified withdrawal periods and legal compliance, and registration with the New Jersey Department of Labor as of the bid opening date.
