The work consists of furnishing all labor and materials for the construction of the Highway 18 Northside Waterline Improvements. The project scope includes installation of approximately 6,700 linear feet of 12" C-900 water main, associated gate valves, fire hydrants, bores, connections, and all other necessary appurtenances required to complete the project as shown and specified in the plans and contract documents. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and must show a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid. Attorneys-in-fact who sign bid bonds, payment bonds, or performance bonds must file a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney with each bond. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and delivered to the City Clerk before the designated hour and date. Each bidder must write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope. Bid Number 2026-02 should be marked in the lower left corner of the envelope. Electronic bidding submissions are also accepted, and documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. No prospective contractor may withdraw their proposal within sixty days after the bid opening. The Contract Time is seventy-five consecutive calendar days, with liquidated damages of one thousand dollars per calendar day thereafter.
