The work consists of rehabilitating an existing surface public parking lot, including but not limited to: demolition and removal of existing concrete curbs, sidewalks, gutters, and asphalt concrete pavement; construction of accessible pedestrian ramps, curbs, gutters, decorative sidewalk, and asphalt concrete pavement; pavement striping and signage; adjustment of valve boxes; water pollution control; and all related work. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals for the work, complete in place. Sealed proposals must be submitted through the OpenGov Procurement Portal in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bid documents must be fully executed and submitted as indicated. Each bid must include a certified or cashier's check or bidder's bond for at least 10% of the amount bid as a guarantee. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Bond. The contractor must possess a Class A license at the time of bid submission and comply with all requirements regarding contractor registration and employment of apprentices. Failure to comply with licensing, permitting, and insurance requirements may result in withholding of progress payments. Work must be completed within twenty-five (25) working days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages for delay are $500 per calendar day. All proposals must include acknowledgement of addenda and comply with state and federal laws related to public works contracts.
