The requirements are for the provision of water meters and strainers that meet current NSF/ANSI 61 Standards, have U.S. Gallon Registration, and must have the first two numbers of the meter serial number correspond with the year of manufacture. Bidders should only propose items and sizes that have been approved by the City of Fullerton for their company. Acceptable product types and specifications include disc meters with bronze body and engraved serial numbers, compound meters with ductile iron body, turbine meters with ductile iron body and encoded register recording, ultrasonic meters with lead-free bronze alloy body, domestic fire meters, fire hydrant meters with specific assembly requirements, and cast bronze strainers. Bidders are required to provide an electronic list of serial numbers for each order, and pricing must be submitted on the City-provided table. Proposals must include detailed technical information, warranty statements, and certifications. Vendors must thoroughly examine and be familiar with the work required and are responsible for proposing only City-approved meters and strainers. No substitutions will be accepted. Bids must be net of all discounts, F.O.B. City of Fullerton, and must comply with all conditions and specifications as stated. Late proposals will not be accepted. All standards for performance, warranty, and compliance must be met as indicated in the detailed product and submission requirements.
