Description

Site work, environmental remediation and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bend, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 40,000-square-foot educational facility; fitness / recreation center; medical facility; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Oregon State University–Cascades will launch an $84.2 million project in Bend, Oregon to construct a new student health and recreation center as part of a campus expansion effort. The 40,000-square-foot facility will feature fitness spaces, sports courts, studios, and a climbing wall, as well as outdoor recreation fields. The building will integrate clinical and mental health services and reserve space for future physical therapy services. The 24-acre former demolition landfill and pumice mine site will require land reclamation and environmental cleanup. As of April 21, 2026, project is currently in the pre-planning phase, construction is planned for 2028. Funding has not been allocated.
