The work includes reconditioning approximately 5 miles of 6th Avenue. Tasks are pulverizing existing asphalt, adding aggregate base, asphalt paving, shouldering, and culvert work. There is an alternate bid for reconstructing a portion of 3rd Avenue, approximately 2,650 feet in length, consisting of pulverizing existing asphalt, compacting, paving, and shouldering. Bids are accepted online only. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the owner as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute the project contract. The Town of Leola reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any technicality, and accept any bid deemed advantageous. Contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All bids shall remain subject to acceptance for forty-five days after the time set for bid opening.
