The specifications define the requirements for providing Liquid Chlorine as a Source of Supply for a period of twelve months, from March 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027, with an option for two additional one-year contracts. Bids must be equal in performance and quality to the stated specifications. The total bid price must include all applicable fees. Materials are to be supplied on an as-needed basis to various City of Meridian job sites, delivered by boom truck in one-ton cylinders, F.O.B. Meridian, MS. All containers must meet AWWA Standard B301 and the most current NSF Standard for chlorine, as well as current DOT specifications and include proper markings. Delivery hours are 7 am to 2 pm unless otherwise specified, with a five-day delivery excluding holidays and weekends. Supplier is to provide 8 hours per year of training at a city-selected location per RMP requirements. Approximately 50 tons were used by Freshwater Treatment Plants and 25 tons by Wastewater Plants in the previous year. Bidders must comply with specifications, note deviations, submit MSDS literature, provide references, complete the bid form, sign in blue ink, and return the entire bid package without any part removed. No faxed bids will be accepted. All questions must be submitted in writing.
