Renovation of a mixed-use development in Meridian, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.
This project includes the renovation of an existing medical office into a new main office building for Meridian Public School District. The work will include installation of a new window, some new plumbing, new paint throughout, installation of new LVT throughout, and replacement of all ceiling tile with new throughout. Additionally, the project includes the construction of some new casework, updates to the existing access control system to match the new system with new hardware and components, repair of holes in the existing EIFS system at the front of the building, and adding the MPSD logo to the front in EIFS. Bidders are required to submit lump sum bids for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the instructions provided. Proposals must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of at least five percent of the base bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages by any bidder failing to execute a contract and post required bonds. Bidders must be properly licensed and able to obtain required insurance and bonds for the work. Bids must be submitted in duplicate on blank proposal forms provided, with the exterior of the envelope marked as specified, including company name, address, and all applicable license and registration numbers. Electronic bids may be submitted via the specified website, though not required. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
