Sealed bids are solicited for the purchase of the former Mapleton Union Elementary School Building and the associated lands from the Mount Union Area School District. The property includes all parcels of land together with the building and improvements, totaling approximately 7.5 acres, and is identified as Tax Parcel No. 50-06-03. The building and lands are sold "AS IS" and are subject to easements, conveyances, and encumbrances of record. The sale will be for the entire tract and buildings as a single unit. Conveyance will be by Deed without warranty. Bidders are responsible for all applicable state and local realty transfer taxes and are advised to investigate all relevant ordinances, codes, regulations, and laws. Instructions to bidders: All sealed bids must be delivered to the Office of the Superintendent of the Mount Union Area School District. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank treasurer's check, bank money order, or cashier's check in an amount of no less than $50,000, made payable to "Mount Union Area School District." The deposit will be retained as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to make settlement. Settlement must occur within forty-five days after award unless extended by agreement. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Inspections of the building and lands may be arranged by appointment.
