As of march 10, 2026 the project has been awarded. The project consists of the installation of a new main switchboard (MSB) and connecting to the new PG&E service. Bidders must submit bids electronically via the District's online portal. All bids shall be on the form provided and must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to possess an active and in good standing State of California Contractor License C-10 at the time of bid opening and throughout the contract term. Each bid must include a ten percent (10%) bid security in the form of a bid bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. Workers must be paid no less than the prevailing wage rates. The District requires a 5% retention. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held, and failure to attend will render the bid ineligible. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity. The contract, if awarded, will go to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the total bid amount only. Provide new electrical work associated with a new 1200-AMP MSB. Items included in this bid package shall be as follows: o Surveying for own work. o Trenching for electrical work. Sawcut, demo, and patch back asphalt. Trench and patch back details on Sheet C5.0/C5.1. o Primary and secondary conduit raceways. PG&E will provide primary conductors to the transformer. All other conduit and conductors are to be provided as noted on the Electrical sheets. o Concrete foundation pads for the transformer and for the MSB as noted on Sheet E1.0 (Four pads). Includes minor demolition of existing asphalt, fencing, and landscaping. Includes grading required for the new foundation and approach pads. Patch asphalt around new pads per requirements on Civil plans. o Bollards surrounding the MSB and the Transformer (3 removable bollards and 14 permanent bollards) o Temp fencing for all work areas. o Steel trench plates for any trenching in the parking lot. All work will have to be performed after hours, requiring trench plates for vehicles during all school operating hours. o Install new MSB. District will supply and deliver the new 1200-AMP MSB. This contractor shall offload the MSB and install. New MSB is scheduled to be delivered to the site between April 9, 2026, and April 30, 2026. o Remove vegetation required for PG&E work and work associated with this bid package. o Haul off and dispose of all debris created from this bid package. o Division 26 Electrical work complete. o Asphalt and striping, fencing, landscaping, concrete flatwork, and demolition work are included in other bid packages and are Not In Contract (NIC) unless specifically noted above. o Temporary sanitary facilities for own staff. o Temp power and water may be obtained from the campus. o Dumpsters for own debris. o All work shown on Electrical Plans o Division 01, 02, 03, and 31 as applies to the scope of work listed above.
