The project consists of the demolition of the existing multipurpose building at Shannon Elementary School, followed by grading and paving of the site. It also includes installing new hardscape, landscaping, and irrigation systems. Contractors must submit bids electronically via the District's online portal until the specified deadline. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District and must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to possess an active and in-good-standing State of California Contractor License B at the time of bid opening and throughout the contract term. Each Bidder must provide a bid bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid price as security. The successful Bidder shall furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond upon award. The successful Bidder and subcontractors must pay workers not less than the prevailing wage rates as determined by the State of California for the locality and comply with all registration and qualification requirements. The District requires a 5% retention. All prospective Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid site visit and sign in. Failure to attend or tardiness will render the bid ineligible.
