The project consists of the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Township Line Rd and Shady Lane in Plainfield, Indiana. Bidders must submit each bid accompanied by an acceptable certified check payable to the Town of Plainfield or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total bid price from an incorporated surety company qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, are required from the awarded contractor. Bidders must submit the Contractor's Bid for Public Works (Form 96) as modified by the Town; the Standard Questionnaire and Financial Statements for Bidders; and the Contractor's Financial Statement, all signed and included in the bid documents. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held via virtual meeting for prospective bidders on the Planholders List. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
