Mobilization and construction of 5.414 miles of slurry seal on the Rienzi-Biggersville Road (CR 409) for State Aid Program Project No. SAP-02(22)S in Alcorn County, Mississippi. The work includes roadway items such as slurry seal (Type 2), maintenance of traffic, additional construction signs, 4" wide thermoplastic edge stripe (continuous white, 60 mils), 4" wide thermoplastic traffic stripe (skip yellow, 90 mils), 4" wide thermoplastic traffic stripe (continuous yellow, 90 mils), thermoplastic legend (white, 120 mils), and installation of two-way yellow reflective high performance raised markers. Bids will be accepted only from bidders whose names appear on the official list of planholders maintained by the County Engineer. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid. Any proposal with qualifying conditions will be considered irregular and not considered for award. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. Minority business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin. The entire proposal is required for both paper and electronic bid submission. Contract Time: 45 working days.
