The Community Greenhouse - Building & Site Development Project includes the complete construction of a pre-engineered steel frame and polycarbonate clad greenhouse with associated plumbing, electrical, HVAC, stormwater management, and site improvement construction to be located on Lot 1 of the Savocchio Opportunity Park at the northeast corner of Downing Avenue and Paragon Drive, Erie, PA 16510. Separate sealed bids are solicited for general construction, electrical construction, plumbing construction, and HVAC construction for the Savocchio Opportunity Park - Grow Erie - Community Greenhouse - Building & Site Development Project. The project includes complete construction of a pre-engineered steel frame and polycarbonate clad greenhouse with associated plumbing, electrical, HVAC, stormwater management, and site improvement construction on Lot 1 of the Savocchio Opportunity Park at the northeast corner of Downing Avenue and Paragon Drive, Erie, PA 16510. Bids shall be made upon official Bid Forms provided with the Project Manual. Prospective bidders must obtain electronic or hardcopy access to the Contract Document and submit bids with a Bid Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Participation of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) is strongly encouraged, with goals of 15% for MBE and 5% for WBE. Bidders must show and document good-faith effort in soliciting and securing MBE/WBE participation for subcontractors, material suppliers, and on-site labor.
