Site work for a civil project in Erie, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Chestnut Water Treatment Plant (WTP) - Sludge Pump & Motor Replacement Work is to include the installation of a new sludge pump and motor and associated work at the Chestnut WTP the City of Erie, Erie County, PA. A certified check payable to the Erie Water Works or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner and named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (current edition) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, US Treasury Department must accompany the bid as bid security. Bid Security must be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) or the bid will be considered non-responsive and immediately rejected. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the Contract Documents or any applicable statues of the Commonwealth of PA or any applicable ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color or national origin. Prior to contract award, the Contractor shall submit an E-Verify Program Verification in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012. Erie Water Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bidder shall be required to submit insurance certificate, performance bonds, labor and material bonds as outlined in specifications. Supply all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to professionally complete the work. Coordinate all work with Erie Water Works operations staff and comply with all plant safety and security requirements. Document, take and store photographs of the project. Contractor staff working within the Erie Water Works system shall have non-criminal records. Staff must be professionally dressed for work activities and wear photo ID that identifies them and the company with which they are employed. A copy of Photo ID in the form of a drivers license or similar shall be provided for each employee of the Contractor that will be working on site, prior to beginning work. Background checks may be performed. The Owner may, at its sole discretion elect to issue keys and/or electronic access fobs. Contractor shall agree in writing to adhere to all Erie Water Works guidelines for use of such throughout the project. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted in writing to Erie Water Works' Project Engineer, Erek Iwanenko, M.S., E.I.T., at 240 West 12 th Street, Erie, PA 16501-1706 or by email at eiwanenko@eriewaterworks.org.
