Work is to include the cleaning and inspection of the Sigsbee Reservoir cover in the City of Erie, Erie County, PA. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Erie Water Works or a bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner. Bid Security must be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to ten percent (10%), or the bid will be considered non-responsive and immediately rejected. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color or national origin. Prior to contract award, the Contractor shall submit an E-Verify Program Verification in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012. Erie Water Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bidder shall be required to submit insurance certificate, performance bonds, labor and material bonds as outlined in specifications.
